Our Accepted File Types
We have strict artwork requirements when creating printed drinkware so that we can ensure the highest quality outcomes for your products. We strictly require:
-
True vector artwork in SVG, AI, EPS, or PDF.
-
Block Artwork: No gradients or shadows, or transparent sections.
-
No Canva files: Canva does not produce true vector artwork, even if the correct file type is selected.
Vector art formats are file types that store graphics as mathematical paths (points, lines, curves) instead of pixels. This ensures that pixels don't appear in your final product. If you've ever had your logo or artwork created by a graphic designer, they likely have it available in the correct format. A good way to tell if your artwork is in vector format is if you enlarge it, it doesn't become pixelated.
Typically, vector artwork will be available in SVG, EPS, AI or PDF format. We recommend that you request your vector artwork from your graphic designer to ensure you're submitting the correct file.
Note: Not all PDFs are vector artwork. However, your graphic designer may have exported their vector artwork into PDF as a friendlier way to view your artwork. We are happy to review your artwork and provide guidance.
SVG Files
Scalable Vector Graphics: A web-friendly vector format that scales perfectly without losing quality.
EPS Files
Encapsulated PostScript: A widely supported vector format for print and production
AI Files
Adobe Illustrator Artwork: A native Adobe Illustrator file used for professional design work
Portable Document Format: A versatile file format that can contain vector artwork
Created Your Own Artwork?
Many businesses may have created their own artwork or had artwork created by a family member or friend. This is usually the case when we receive an incompatible artwork file.
If you're not sure how to proceed, reach out to our team.
01
Reach Out To A Graphic Designer
Your graphic designer may have the original true vector artwork on file. This would be the best case scenario. If your artwork wasn't designed by a graphic designer, the lowest-effort option would be to get your available artwork converted to true vector artwork. This can usually cost between $10-$50, but will depend on the quality of the original artwork.
02
Use A Vector Artwork Converter
Some tools, such as vectorizer.ai may be able to convert your artwork to a usable file. The quality of this outcome will heavily depend on the quality and complexity of your original artwork.
03
Use The Correct Software
If you'd like to create your own artwork, avoid using platforms such as Canva if you wish to create true vector artwork. Canva does not support exporting true vector art. Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw are the industry defaults for creating acceptable art.
